Lincoln Bands

Concert Band

Open to band students without audition.
Members of band are a part of Lincoln High School's pep/marching band and will perform at home football games and select basketball games as well as select parades.

Wind Ensemble

Eligibility for the Lincoln High School wind ensemble is determined by a performance audition as well as instrumentation needs for the group.
Focus will be placed on advanced skill development as well as advanced musical concepts and ensemble playing.

Jazz I and Jazz II

Students in the year-long performing ensemble learn about various jazz styles and concepts, including improvisation, jazz theory, and jazz history with traditional wind and rhythm section instrumentation.
Students participate in jazz performances and activities, including festivals and trips.
Audition or teacher approval is required.
Both Jazz bands meet zero hour (7:45-8:35).
- Jazz I meets M-F
- Jazz II meets 3 days a week

Percussion Ensemble

Percussion focuses on all aspects of percussion playing.
Fundamental percussion techniques on both mallet and battery percussion will be taught, and students will perform as part of the marching band, concert band, wind ensemble, orchestras and as percussion ensembles.
Students in this ensemble are a part of the school’s pep/marching band and will perform at home football games and a select number of basketball games as well as select parades.
Members of percussion ensemble are eligible to audition for Jazz Band.
